$10 Currency Notes

The $10 Currency Note from the Republic of Texas is interesting for depicting very strong images not normally associated with Texas. The left vignette is of Zeus, casting a lightning bolt, as an eagle at his foot holds a shield with the colors of Texas; beneath the shield is the Latin phrase "E PLURBIS UNUM" which translates into "Out of Many, One" which carries a very special meaning for a state that prides itself on personal identity. In opposition on the right side is a ship, bearing a flag with the colors of Texas, as it sails past a building that is also flying the flag. In the center of the note is a maiden bursting from the water, framed by the circular geometric designs that encompass the denomination numerals. In the lower corners of the note, the denomination in Roman numerals is again visible. The Lone Star is central to the layout of the bottom of the document, with The Republic of Texas and Treasury Department visible just above it.
These are high-quality examples of these documents, striking and powerful in their imagery; they would make excellent art for framing and collecting as well as being a good value for procuring for future sale. We have a variety of notes at varying levels for your collection:
